INDICATIONS FOR APPLICATION

• It is used in the instrumental treatment of root canals together with irrigation solutions (sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide).

It is used for:

• • with infected root canals;
  • with destructive processes in periapical tissues.

ADVANTAGES

• • Does not require manual preparation).
  • It is well delivered to the root canal both through the nozzle and in the usual way.
  • It has chelating properties.
  • Promotes thorough mechanical treatment of the root canal with both manual and rotary instruments.
  • Removes greased ball.
  • It has an antimicrobial effect on the microflora of the root canal.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

First visit:

• • The gel is introduced into the canal using an endodontic plastic nozzle. Mechanical treatment of the root canal is carried out according to the following scheme:
  • Irrigation of the root canal with a 2.5-3% sodium hypochlorite solution alternates with the introduction of gel into the root canal.
  • Repeat the described procedures until the required degree of root canal treatment.
  • Final irrigation with sodium hypochlorite solution.
  • Very thorough irrigation of the root canal with distilled water.
  • Temporary obturation of the root canal with a preparation with calcium hydroxide for 1 ndash; 2 weeks.

Other visits:

• • After the mechanical removal of calcium hydroxide from the root canal follows:
  • Irrigation of the root canal with a 2.5-3% solution of sodium hypochlorite, alternating with the introduction of gel into the root canal. Root canal irrigation with distilled water; Repeated temporary obturation of the root canal with calcium hydroxide (in the case of destructive permanent obturation of the root canal).
  • In cases of difficult-to-pass infected roots, it may be necessary to use Jen-MetroHeCor gel in the root canal under a hermetic bandage with a duration of treatment of 1 day; 3 days.
