SCRIPTURE
Well-Root PT is a material for eliminating root canal defects.
Well-Root PT is an insoluble and radiopaque material based on calcium aluminosilicate composition, which requires the presence of water for setting and hardening. It does not shrink during setting and exhibits excellent physical properties.
Supplied in capsules containing a mixture of calcium aluminosilicate cement, water and several complex particles. It hardens at the root without the process of mixing with additional water.
The main advantages of the Well-Root PT material:
Water-based, good curing in a wet environment.
Restoration of soft tissues without inflammation.
Excellent sealing ability, which guarantees effective perpendicular healing.
Simple application technique.
Biocompatibility.
indication
Elimination of perforation.
Removal of perforations of the bottom of the tooth cavity.
Retrograde filling of the tip of the tooth.
Medicinal and insulating covering of the pulp. Applying the material to the exposed pulp in most cases ensures healing and preserving the vitality of the pulp without additional treatment.
Elimination of internal and external root resorption.
Apexification.
storage
Aluminosilicate compounds of calcium.
Zirconium oxide.
Filler and thickener.
curing time
Curing time 25 minutes, measured according to ISO 6876: 2012. In a humid environment, curing time may be less than 10 minutes. In a dry environment, the curing time may be longer.
Well-Root PT Recommended Procedure
Before using Well-Root PT, inspect the product for damage or defects.
Insert the capsule into the gun and remove the capsule cap from the capsule.
Gently pull the trigger to squeeze the appropriate amount of material from the capsule. And firmly pack the material into the treated area.
Complete the treatment with the appropriate methods:
Medicinal and insulating covering of the pulp
Isolate the tooth with a rubber dam and prepare the cavity using a high-speed bur.
Drill out (pull out) the entire cavity using a whole bur (eg Prima Classic) at low speed or hand tools.
Irrigate the cavity and control excess moisture or bleeding with dry cotton balls or paper pins.
Apply an adequate amount of Well-Root PT over the exposure and remove excess moisture with cotton balls.
After application, cover Well-Root PT with light-curing resin (for example, Denfen) or glass ionomers and polymerize according to the instructions.
Etch the remnants of the cavity walls with an etching gel. Wash off the etching gel and dry the cavity.
Apply a bonding agent (for example, BC Plus) and polymerize according to the instructions.
Place the composite resin and cure according to the instructions to complete the restoration.
After the restoration, check the pulp viability and condition by X-ray every 3 6 months.
Elimination of perforation / development of the root
Isolate the tooth with a rubber dam. Clean the root canal with appropriate instruments and irrigate with NaOCI.
Place Ca (OH) 2 in the root canal to disinfect the area for a week.
At the next visit, isolate the tooth and remove Ca (OH) 2.
Control excess moisture with paper pins. Isolate the root canal and detect perforation.
Apply material to the perforation using suitable tools such as a plugger or paper pins.
Verify proper placement of the Well-Root PT by x-ray. If not, delete the material and reapply it.
Add a wet cotton ball in the root canal, after preparing it, squeeze it and seal the root canal with a temporary restoration for more than 4 hours.
After 4 hours or at the next visit, the tooth is isolated and it is studied whether the material is completely installed. If not, delete the material and reapply it.
If the Well-Root PT has fully hardened, perform a root canal obturation to complete the treatment.
Apexification
Isolate the tooth with a rubber dam. Clean the root canal with appropriate instruments and irrigate with NaOCI.
Place Ca (OH) 2 in the root canal to disinfect the area for a week.
At the next visit, isolate the tooth and remove Ca(0H) 2. Clean the root canal with appropriate instruments and irrigate with NaOCI.
Apply the material to the root canal using appropriate tools such as a plugger or paper pins. Create a 3 5 mm apical barrier with Well-Root PT.
Remove excess material and clean the root surface.
Verify proper placement of the Well-Root PT by x-ray. If not, delete the material and reapply it.
When the preparation has completely hardened, perform obturation of the root canal to complete the treatment.
