Suture material catgut chrome-plated 4/0 cutting
Natural, absorbable suture material. Purified connective tissue (mainly collagen) of the submucosal layer of the small intestine of sheep or the serous layer of the small intestine of cattle, treated with chromium salts in order to form additional cross-molecular bonds to increase the absorption time.
Characteristics : It is worth noting that the terms of absorption of catgut are unpredictable and depend on the individual characteristics of the patient (immune status, peculiarities of metabolism).
Field of application: For use as a ligature and suture material in various surgical interventions. Gastrointestinal tract, obstetrics, mucous membranes, oncourology, gynecology, fascia, muscles, subcutaneous tissue, peritoneum, parenchymal organs, bronchi and lungs, trauma surgery, wound closure.
Contraindications : It is not recommended to use catgut in cardiovascular surgery and neurosurgery, as well as in patients with known sensitivity or allergy to collagen, because the basis of catgut is collagen.
