Description of Peak Universal Bond, 1.2 ml No. 4552/4553 (Ultradent) One-component adhesive, with chlorhexidine
Used in restorative dentistry together with Peak® SE (two-component self-etching primer). The primer can be replaced with phosphoric acid. The adhesive system contains 7.5% ethanol (as a solvent) and chlorhexidine (0.2%) to strengthen adhesion and increase its shelf life. Photopolymerization is carried out by special ultraviolet/halogen lamps of various manufacturers, which support the range from 400 to 550 nm.
Indications for the use of an adhesive agent:
- When performing direct and indirect restoration works using an adhesive method.
- When fixing the pins.
- When fixing indirect restorations and orthopedic/orthodontic devices to light-cured composite cements by adhesive method.
- Sealing of dentinal tubules, protection of the patient from tooth hypersensitivity.
The bonding tool showed itself well when working with the following materials:
- hard tissues of the tooth;
- metals and their alloys;
- zirconium dioxide;
- porcelain;
- light-cured composites.
