Ultra-Etch etchant is a 35% solution of phosphoric acid. It has an ideal run-in viscosity, which, together with the use of the Blue Micro ^™ or Inspiral ^™ tip, facilitates application and improves control. Ultra-Etch is self-limiting in etching depth (average depth of 1.9 µm with a 15-second etch), ¹ creating optimal etching that positively affects adhesive penetration, increasing bond strength and reducing sensitivity. Research shows that Ultra-Etch's unique self-limiting formula creates the optimal surface for the highest adhesion performance. ² Although Ultra-Etch is viscous, it can penetrate the smallest cracks or surfaces due to physical and chemical properties that promote capillary action. Its ideal run-in viscosity maintains the ball, sufficient to prevent premature drying.
