Characteristics of Adhesor Carbofine: Adhesor CARBOFINE is a zinc polycarboxylate non-irritating dental cement that does NOT have an effect on the pulp, has natural adhesion to the hard tissues of the teeth and is a radiopaque material.

Indications of Adhesor Carbofine: a) As a lining material for amalgam and composite fillings. Its use is suitable, for example, to overlap the used drug CALXYD. In addition, in those cases when the cavity cannot be thoroughly dried, because the CARBOFAIN adhesive exhibits a high degree of adhesion even in a wet environment. b) As a temporary seal with a maximum term of 6 months. c) For cementing small permanent prostheses (one or max. two crowns).

Contraindications: The material is not used in case of known hypersensitivity to some of its constituent parts.

Processing: The recommended mixing ratio for lining material and temporary fillings is 3 g of powder per 1 g of liquid, which corresponds to 3 measures of powder per 5 drops of liquid. For cementing, a ratio of 1.8-2.2 g of powder per 1 g of liquid is recommended, which is 2 measures of powder per 5 drops of liquid. The powder is added to the liquid in two portions within 30 seconds. Processing time is approximately 2 minutes at a temperature of 23C and 60% relative humidity. The hardening time is about 5-8 minutes. With careful observance of the powder-liquid weight ratio, the finished material should have a shiny surface. The material should not be very thick, otherwise its quality will decrease. storage: In a dry and dark place at a temperature of 5 to 25 C in a well-closed package.
