Clammers ¦cofferdam are designed to hold the rubber. They cover the tooth more apically than the equator, which allows you to keep the gum in a given position.
Clippers with wings provide better rubber retraction.
Winged Clammers have forward-protruding wings.
The wings are inserted into the hole in the rubber dam, and then the clip is placed on the tooth together with it.
Using a punch, holes are made in the handkerchief according to the number of teeth to be treated.
A latex scarf is stretched over the frame, put on the teeth and fixed with one or two clamps.
Each tooth is additionally tied with dental floss for reliable isolation from oral fluid.
Because the clasps are symmetrical, they can be used on both sides of the jaw.
