Gel for chemical expansion of root canals. Contains 15% EDTA and 10% carbamide peroxide. Chelating compounds, the formation of which is facilitated by ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), very effectively clean the root canal and facilitate its processing. Carbamide peroxide, reacting with sodium hypochlorite, contributes to foam formation, as a result of which pulp residues and dentine sawdust are easily removed from the canal. With the help of the gel, the dentinal tubules are opened, into which drugs for treatment and filling materials easily penetrate. The composition of the drug includes a blue dye, thanks to which it is easy to control the removal of the gel before obturation of the channel. The consistency of the material acts as a lubricant, which facilitates processing and easy advancement of the tool in the root canal. SURE-PREP has an antibacterial effect and the ability to decalcify dentin.
