K-files are a manual cutting dental endodontic tool with a spiral cutting of the working part. These files are very similar to K - Reamers, but there is still a difference from it: the shape of the working part is different, that is, the number of turns per unit length is more.
K-files are considered versatile tools and are used for both traversing and expanding root canals. The expansion of the canal is performed by the method of repeatedly advancing the instrument toward the apical opening and withdrawing it from the canal (sawing movements).
