Cold blue light is standardly used for whitening gels based on carbamide hydrogen peroxide (MagicSmile, Danjoua, Beyond)
Red-blue light is used as a complement to blue light to expand the spectrum of light and provide a full whitening effect.
Red light is used to desensitize after bleaching. Similarly, red light is used to improve the cellular metabolism of the adjacent gums, which may have been injured during whitening.
