The tool has a one-piece construction, made of medical steel, resistant to the effects of aggressive environments. The product consists of the following elements:

• two working parts made in the form of blunt probes with special linear sections;
• holder handles with anti-slip notches (located in the center of the probe).

With the help of this tool, the dentist:

• determines the presence of a periodontal pocket;
• determines the exact depth of the gingival pocket;
• clarifies the degree of root exposure, etc.

To protect the patients of the clinic from cross-contamination, every working tool after use undergoes mandatory sterilization by one of the listed methods:

• in a special bath using ultrasound;
• in a steam autoclave with hot steam;
• dry heat;
• immersion method using chemical means for disinfection.
