Appointment:

• Rootfil paste (calcium hydroxide with iodoform) is intended for temporary sealing of root canals during the treatment of chronic periodontitis.

Properties:

• The ready-to-use X-ray paste has a high PH level (12.5), which provides a long-lasting bactericidal effect. Contributes to the creation of the dentino-cement barrier and the growth and formation of the tooth root. Iodoform, which is part of the paste, releases active iodine for a long time and provides a continuous antibacterial effect.

Method of use:

1. Carry out instrumental processing of the channel, not reaching 1-2 mm to its top.
2. Wash with sodium hypochlorite solution. Dry the canal and introduce Ruthfil paste with iodoform into it, seal the cavity with a temporary filling material based on SCI or a temporary photopolymer material. After sealing, it is advisable to take a control x-ray . After 3-4 weeks, it is necessary to replace the paste with fresh.
