Characteristics and description
PD MTA WHITE Endodontic cement
Composition SiO2, K2O, Al2O3, Na2O, Fe2O3, SO3, CaO, Bi2O3, MgO. Insoluble precipitate of CaO, KSO4, NaSO4 and crystalline silica. Properties PD MTA White radiopaque endodontic cement includes various mineral oxides. It consists of small hydrophilic particles that give the material the following advantages:
> The optimal particle size ensures uniform and deep impregnation during mixing of the material.
> Excellent sealing properties of the material help to avoid the ingress of bacteria and the penetration of tissue fluid into the root canal
> When using the material for applying a protective coating of the tooth pulp, the formation of a dentine bridge is stimulated> There is no need to dry the treated area.
The properties of PD MTA cement are preserved even in a humid environment. When mixed with distilled water, the powder forms a gel that crystallizes in a humid environment. The material begins to harden after about 10 minutes. The final crystallization takes place within 15 minutes. At the same time, it is not necessary to wait for the complete hardening of the material to complete the treatment procedure. After mixing, the material has a pronounced alkaline reaction, with a pH of 10, which increases over the next three hours to 12 (high-alkaline balance), which in turn prevents the growth of microorganisms. In terms of radiopacity, cement can be compared to gutta-percha: this indicator is higher than that of dentin and bone tissue, which allows the material to be clearly distinguished on X-ray images. After complete hardening, the compressive strength of the material is 65 MPa.
Indications for use
> Closure of the perforation in the area of the root canal and the zone of separation of the roots
> Treatment of pulpal resorption of hard tooth tissues
> Retrograde sealing of the root canal after resection of the root apex
> Protective covering of the pulp
> Pulpotomy
> apexification
> Apexogenesis
Instructions for use
> Place the contents of 1 sachet of PD MTA White material (art. 20191) on a special mixing glass and add 1 drop of distilled water (art. 20192) to the powder
> Using a spatula, mix the powder and distilled water for 30 seconds until a homogeneous cream is obtained
> Using a suitable sterile instrument or a gutta-percha spatula, the prepared mixture is applied to the desired area and condensed (we recommend the PD MAP system)
> After applying the excess water that is on the surface of the compound, remove with a corkscrew or absorbent paper moistened with distilled water (art. 20192) Precautions
> The PD MTA White material should be applied immediately after mixing. The product loses moisture very quickly and should be removed if this happens
> Remove the remaining material with a spatula immediately after its application. If the material has time to harden inside the spatula, it will be impossible to remove it, as a result of which the tool will become unusable for further use
> Do not use PD MTA White cement for filling the entire length of the root canal
> Try to avoid contact of PD MTA White with the gingival sulcus. This can lead to complete dissolution of the material ...> Acid-alkaline pH balance prevents crystallization of PD MTA white cement> The information presented in this manual is confirmed by laboratory and clinical tests. The success of using the MTA material depends on the correct diagnosis, the quality of the used surgical equipment, the condition of the tooth treated, and the general health of the patient. White must use protective glasses, a mask and gloves Storage PD MTA white must be stored in the original packaging at room temperature in a dry and protected from light place.
