The T4K trainer has a built-in teeth guidance system (similar in effect to an orthodontic arch)
- The shape of the trainer is designed for the correct formation of the dental arch and the correct positioning of the jaws.
- Labial arches create a slight force on the tooth that is outside the dental arch.
- Myofunctional effect:
- The mark for the tongue contributes to the correct position of the tip of the tongue and the improvement of the work of the facial muscles and the tongue.
- The protection for the tongue controls the correct position of the tongue and provokes breathing only through the nose.
- The lip bumper reduces the muscle activity of the lower lip.
Jaw positioning:
- The correct development of the jaws is ensured. The correct position of the jaws is ensured by the positioning of the trainer and there is no mouth breathing and laying of the tongue between the teeth.
Harmful soft alveolar-facial habits such as incorrect position and work of the tongue plus mouth breathing are often the cause of teeth shifting. All devices of the trainer system are designed to retrain the facial muscles (myofunctional effect). This allows you to adjust the position of the teeth and align the jaws.
If these harmful soft alveolar-facial habits (mouth breathing, incorrect bite and sticking of the tongue) are not treated, then it is very difficult to correct the development of the individual and align the teeth.
The T4K trainer is designed specifically for treatment during the period of changing baby teeth, when permanent teeth are erupting and the child is growing.
General recommendations for use:
Use at least one hour daily and at night. Use the trainer when you study, do homework, read, watch TV, sit at the computer or do exercises. When you finish wearing the trainer, rinse the trainer under running water and put it in the container box. In the early stages of wearing the trainer, your front teeth may hurt a little or wobble. This is normal. But if the pain does not pass, you need to reduce the time of wearing the trainer, and later, when the pain passes, you need to return to the recommended hours of wearing.
FORBIDDEN: chew the trainer.
- After each use of the trainer, it must be washed under running water and put in the box-container.
- Your treating physician may vary the length of time you wear the trainer depending on your treatment plan.
- You must insist that the trainer remains in your mouth during sleep, as this indicates the correction of such bad habits as mouth breathing and tongue thrusting. If the trainer remains in the mouth during sleep, then everything is normal, the treatment is progressing successfully and bad habits are neutralized.
- The lips must be closed when the trainer is in the mouth. You need to breathe only through your nose.
- When you are without the trainer, hold the tip of your tongue roughly the way you would hold it off the trainer.
- You need to use the trainer from 6 to 12 months.
- If wearing the trainer at night is not possible, increase the time of wearing the trainer during the day.
- Changes can be seen after 4-6 weeks (improved nasal breathing, closing of jaws and lips, posture)
