The newest representative of the classic glass ionomer cements FUJI IX GP EXTRA differs from its predecessors (FUJI IX GP and FUJI IX GP FAST) in its outstanding wear resistance and transparency. The curing time is the same as FUJI IX GP FAST (1min 15sec)

The list of indications for FUJI IX GP EXTRA traditionally includes unloaded restorations of I, II classes, filling of milk teeth, filling of root cement, restoration of a tooth stump, replacement of dentin in the sandwich technique. However, the resulting restorations will be much more esthetic and much more durable than any other glass ionomer works made from both classic and modified hand-kneaded cements.
The characteristics of FUJI IX GP EXTRA are close to the characteristics of EQUIA FIL (including a significantly increased level of fluoride release), but the range of shades is much wider: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B2, B3, C4.
