RelyX ™ Veneer composite cement for fixation of veneers, polymerized by light.
Appointment:
For permanent fixation of porcelain, ceramic or composite veneers.
Advantages:
- Excellent color stability
- Ideal cement viscosity for convenient application and placement of veneers
- Only light polymerization
- To achieve an optimal result, use RelyX &trade cement; Veneer with Single Bond Universal adhesive.
Instructions for use:
To prepare the veneer, the inner surface of the ceramic veneer fixation should be etched with a hydrofluoric acid-based etching gel. This is usually done in a dental laboratory. The inner surface of the composite veneer should be roughened by sandblasting or air-abrasive treatment.
Remove the temporary restoration (if present) from the tooth. Clean the tooth with a pumice stone. Rinse thoroughly and air dry slightly.
Try on and check the esthetics of the restoration by trying on the veneer with water or RelyX try-on paste. After checking the fit and esthetics, remove the veneers and thoroughly wash the RelyX Try-in Paste from the tooth and restoration with a stream of water, then dry.
The inner surface of the veneer must be thoroughly cleaned before the adhesive is applied to remove any contaminants. The surface can be cleaned by applying an etching gel (34-35% phosphoric acid) for 15 seconds, after which the surface should be rinsed and dried. Use a disposable applicator to apply Single Bond Universal to the etched veneer. Then direct a weak stream of air directly onto the liquid for 5 seconds until the material hardens and the solvent evaporates completely. Do not polymerize with light.
Clean the prepared teeth with a water-pumice suspension. Rinse and dry a little. Isolate the treatment area to avoid contamination. Place the matrix bands between the teeth to avoid unwanted fixation with adjacent teeth.
Wipe the prepared tooth. Apply etching gel to dentin and enamel, wait 15 seconds. Rinse for 10 seconds. Wipe off excess water, leaving the tooth moist. If the tooth accidentally dries out, wet the fixation surface with water for 15 seconds, then wipe off the excess water, leaving the tooth moist.
Apply the adhesive. Use disposable applicators to immediately apply Single Bond Universal to the entire surface of enamel and dentin and rub it in for 20 seconds. Avoid contact between the adhesive and the oral mucosa. If necessary, re-moisten the disposable applicator during the procedure. Then direct a weak stream of air directly onto the liquid for 5 seconds until the material hardens and the solvent evaporates completely. Do not polymerize with light. Apply a thin layer of your chosen shade of RelyX veneer cement directly from the syringe to the veneer bonding surface. Protect the cement from the direct light of the dental lamp.
Set the veneer in place by applying slight pressure. Excess cement will come out of the edges. To fix the veneer in place, polymerize it from the outer surface away from the edges for 20 seconds. Use a light guide of small diameter for this.
Remove excess cement around the edges using a blunt tool or a dry brush. It is also possible to apply "clamping polymerization" for 3 seconds with a standard halogen lamp to form a gel that can be cleaned more quickly. seconds (each). Recommendations for polymerization provide a cement polymerization depth of at least 0.5 mm for opaque shades and at least 1.5 mm for transparent shades. Note. Polymerization time with a minimum light intensity of 400 mW/cm. Remove the matrix tapes. Finalize edge areas with Sof-Lex ™ Sanding and Polishing Belts and Discs by 3M ESPE. Checks and adjusts occlusions as needed.
