Chemical hardening calcium hydroxide sealing cement

Replex-SC is intended for use in dentistry in the treatment of deep caries to protect the pulp from bacterial, chemical, thermal and mechanical effects.

Properties

Replex-SC cement consists of Replex-SC base and catalyst pastes of a fluid consistency, which, after mixing in a ratio of 1:1 by volume, are capable of turning into a solid state, while retaining some elastic properties. The working time of the mixture at room temperature is not less than 90 seconds, the duration of hardening in the oral cavity (plus 32 C) is not more than 5 minutes after setting the cement in the tooth being filled. The main paste Replex-SC contains 50 wt. % calcium hydroxide. After mixing the pastes, the content of calcium hydroxide in the mixture is halved. Replex-SC cement has the ability to maintain a high alkaline reaction for a long time (up to pH 12), stimulates regeneration processes in tooth tissues and improves antimicrobial action.
