Terafom-21 is a highly filled hybrid composite of chemical hardening, which consists of a basic and catalyst paste and hardens when mixing the pastes.
The working hour when mixing pastes in a ratio of 1: 1 for combining by volume at a temperature of 18-23 ° C is 2 - 4 minutes.
The duration of hardening of the filling at the temperature of the oral cavity (30 - 32) ° C is 1.5 - 2 minutes after placing the material in the filled tooth.
Terafom-21 is produced in 5 colors according to the Vita scale: A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B3.
Seals with Teraf-21 are characterized by reduced shrinkage stress, high hardness and wear resistance, optimal transparency, color stability.
How to use Terafom-21
Selection of the color of the filling material.
Color selection is carried out immediately after cleaning the enamel from dental plaque with a soft abrasive (for example, Depural Neo) by comparing under natural light with a sample of color or hardened composite. During the procedure, the tooth must be wet.
To obtain the required shade of the seal, you can pre-mix different colors of the base pastes using a plastic spatula on a glass or a mixing pad, then dose the mixture as indicated in the section "Preparation of the filling material".
Preparation of the carious tooth cavity
The carious cavity is prepared according to the generally accepted method for polymer filling materials. For better fit edges, seal adhesion and smooth color combination, enamel edge finishing is necessary. When filling, an insulating gasket (zinc phosphate, polycarboxylate or glass ionomer cement) is required, in case of deep caries - a composite calcium-containing gasket.
Before applying the filling, the prepared tooth surfaces must be etched with phosphoric acid gel and treated with Therabond adhesive.
Etching of enamel and dentine
The necessary amount of gel is squeezed out of the syringe into the cuvette, onto the glass or directly onto the tooth. The gel is distributed with a brush first on the enamel, and after 25-30 ° C on the dentine and kept for another 15 seconds. After exposure, the gel is washed off with water under pressure.
The surface of the tooth is dried with compressed air from 15 to a slightly moistened state of the dentin and darkening of the enamel. With increased enamel resistance, etching must be repeated (no more than 30). After use, the cannula is washed with water using a syringe.
applying adhesive
One drop each of the main and catalytic liquid of the adhesive is placed in the cuvette and quickly stirred for 10-15 minutes with a spatula. The finished adhesive is immediately applied with a microapplicator to the prepared surface of the tooth and carious cavity. For a better distribution of the adhesive on the surface of the tooth and its penetration into the formed micropores, the surface of the filling is blown with compressed air for a few seconds.
The filling material can be introduced into the tooth cavity after 2-3 minutes, without waiting for the residual hardened adhesive. The cuvette and spatula should be cleaned of adhesive until it hardens with alcohol or acetone.
Preparation of sealing material
On a notebook for mixing with the help of the opposite of the rest of the spatula, put approximately one by volume of the main and catalyst paste. To reduce the time of hardening of the seal, it is allowed to slightly increase the dosage of the catalyst mouth, to increase it - the main one.
The pastes are thoroughly mixed for 20 - 30 seconds to obtain a homogeneous mass in color and consistency, which is suitable for sealing within 2 - 4 minutes (more precisely, the working time is determined by a preliminary test).
Sealing
A portion of the material is introduced into the carious cavity. The first, smaller portion is applied in corners and irregularities to avoid air cavities in the sealed cavity. Then the second portion fills the entire cavity. The formation of the seal must be completed before the plasticity of the material is lost.
The high quality of the seal with Teraf-21 is achieved by hardening the material under the polymer strip. The use of matrix strips is shown in the formation of the filling contour and for interdental separation. It is advisable to remove the strip 3-4 minutes after the seal has hardened. Surplus material from the gingival margin should be removed before the beginning of hardening or after the final hardening of the filling.
seal processing
5 minutes after applying the seal, you can proceed to its processing. The seal is polished with diamond, fine-grained corundum and silicone heads (for example, Kenda) followed by polypovaniem with paste.
recommendations
It is not recommended to use insulating pads containing eugenol. With long-term storage of the etching gel, its thickening is possible. To obtain the required consistency, it is necessary to squeeze the gel onto the glass and mix it a little.
It is necessary to strictly observe the affiliation of the lids of the catalyst and the main liquid on the bottles of the adhesive. The cavity of the sealed tooth must be clean and well dried. Any contamination (saliva, blood) breaks the hardened seal and deteriorates its quality.
To remove the paste from the cans, the spatula must be used only once. To select portions
