Metal contour sectional matrix
Intended for use in therapeutic dentistry to divide the proximal surfaces of adjacent teeth when filling carious cavities of class II.
Properties
Matrices are made of a special type of corrosion-resistant steel, 25μm thick.
Thin matrices are convenient to use for the restoration of small defects, thick - for the restoration of large carious cavities with destruction in the subgingival area.
Thick matrices keep their shape well, which allows in some cases not to use wedges when restoring the gingival border or paragingival wall.
