INDICATIONS FOR APPLICATION

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the periodontium and oral mucosa:

• Acute and chronic gingivitis.
• Vincent's acute ulcerative-necrotic stomatitis.
• Acute and chronic periodontitis.
• Peri-implantitis.
• Juvenile periodontitis.
• Periodontitis complicated by gingivitis.
• Aphthous stomatitis.
• Heilites.
• Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity as a result of trauma (including after wearing prostheses).
• Post-extraction alveolitis (inflammation of the socket after tooth extraction).
• Periodontitis, periodontal abscess (as part of combined therapy).

ACTIVE COMPONENTS OF THE GEL AND THEIR PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECTS

Metronidazole Benzoate:

• Metronidazole is a derivative of nitroimidazole, it has antiprotozoal and antibacterial effects. The mechanism of action of metronidazole consists in biochemical interaction with the DNA of the cells of microorganisms, inhibiting the synthesis of their nucleic acids, which leads to the death of bacteria.
• Metronidazole effectively suppresses anaerobic microflora of root canals, stops catabolic destruction of tissues, blocking inflammatory phenomena at the biochemical level. Along with this, until now, practically no allergic reactions or phenomena of addiction to this drug have been reported.

Chlorhexidine diacetate:

• Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic. Has an antimicrobial effect. The mechanism of action is that at high concentrations of chlorhexidine, the cytoplasmic content of the bacterial cell is blocked, which leads to the death of the bacteria.
• Active against a wide range of vegetative forms of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, yeasts, dermatophytes and lipophilic viruses.
• It is especially effective against the aerobic microflora of root canals.

Hydrocortisone Acetate:

• Hydrocortisone acetate belongs to the group of glucocorticosteroids of natural origin.
• It has anti-shock, anti-toxic, immunosuppressive, anti-exudative, anti-pruritic, anti-inflammatory, desensitizing and anti-allergic effects.
• Inhibits hypersensitivity reactions, proliferative and exudative processes in the focus of inflammation.

6-Methyluracil:

• A drug that improves tissue trophicity and stimulates the regeneration process.
• Has anabolic and anti-catabolic activity, stimulates leukopoiesis. Normalizes nucleic exchange, accelerates the processes of cell regeneration in wounds, accelerating the growth and granulation maturation of tissues and their epithelization.
• It has an immunostimulating effect: it stimulates cellular and humoral factors of immunity.
• It has an anti-inflammatory effect, which is associated with the ability to suppress the activity of proteolytic enzymes.
