Purpose: colorless plastic is a hot-curing plastic based on polymethyl methacrylate, which contains an anti-aging agent, and consists of powder and liquid. Colorless plastic is characterized by increased strength and transparency.

Application method :
Gypsum molds are prepared according to the generally accepted method. It is recommended to carefully insulate the plaster mold with insulating varnish (Isokol-69). Powder and liquid are thoroughly mixed in a ratio of 2 parts by weight of powder and 1 or 0.9 parts by weight of liquid. The mixture is made in a vessel (porcelain or glass) and left to swell for 10-15 minutes. at room temperature. The ripening time of the mass depends on the ambient temperature. The mass is considered ready when it loses its stickiness and does not stick to the walls of the vessel and hands. The prepared molding mass is packed in a cuvette. The mass is placed with an excess and compacted, then the cuvette is clamped under the press, gradually increasing the pressure. After the cuvette is completely closed, it is kept under a press for 10-15 minutes, then it is clamped in a clamp and heat treated.

Heat treatment.
Polymerization of colorless plastic for the bases of prostheses is carried out in a water bath in compliance with the following regime: the temperature of the water bath is increased from room temperature to boiling for 50-60 min.; at the temperature of boiling water, keep for about 30 minutes. after which the flask with the cuvette is taken out of the bath and cooled to room temperature.

Pull out of the cuvette only a completely cooled prosthesis. Treatment of the prosthesis. Processing and polishing of the prosthesis is carried out according to generally accepted methods. If the treatment is carried out some time after removing the prosthesis from the cuvette, it is stored in water at room temperature before polishing.
