The dermatological Psorolait 100-6 ultraviolet irradiation device.
Intended for the treatment of psoriasis, dermatitis, vitiligo and other skin diseases by exposure to narrow-band light of 311 nm (UVB-311) on the affected area of the skin. UVB-311 irradiation has an immunoregulatory effect, normalizes the balance of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors in the affected skin. At the same time, as with PUVA therapy, excessive cell division is inhibited. Rashes gradually fade, become less dense, peeling disappears. This happens due to a decrease in the number of cellular elements in the foci of psoriasis. A pronounced antipruritic effect is also noted.
The cabin is used in specialized clinics and dermatovenerological dispensaries.
Structurally, it consists of five identical sections. Three sections of the device are mounted on four fixed supports. Two movable sections are mounted on four wheels and open for the passage of the patient to the center of the cabin, where the treatment process takes place. The two external handles are designed for use by the doctor. Only the doctor should open and close the sections of the cabin for the patient's entry and exit from the cabin.
Each section is equipped with 4 Philips 100 W lamps. For the safety of patients, the lamps are protected by a special metal grid.
Inside the cabin there are four handles that the patient can hold on to in case of need for irradiation in the armpit area. LED cabin lighting creates comfortable conditions for the patient.
In the upper part of the cabin, in the center, a block of four sensors is installed for recording radiation radiation from the lamps. Each sensor during the operation of the lamps records the output radiation every moment and transmits a signal to the control panel. This ensures the maximum accuracy of matching the set and received radiation dose. It is equipped with microprocessor control, which allows only trained personnel to have access to turning on the lamps. Based on the control of the radiation output power (the measurement is performed every time the device is connected to the power grid), the initially administered dose is automatically recalculated for the exposure time, with the possibility of time correction at the discretion of the staff. The digital display on the back of the device allows visual control of all necessary processes. For the convenience of daily work, an instruction with the procedure for starting work is attached to the digital display. The system of individual card access allows you to monitor each of the currently registered cards and provides complete control against unauthorized activation of exposure. Five access cards are supplied with the device. With the help of the service card, which is located at the manufacturer, all service information related to the operation of the device is entered (input of the initial power according to the readings of the dosimeter, reset of counters, disconnection - connection of cards in case of loss or damage)
After unlocking the access card control panel, the doctor can see the following parameters:
• Averaged (from 4 sensors) current radiation power
• Time of operation of the lamps for each access card
• Total lamp operating time (on all maps)
• The given radiation dose
• Residual exposure when the lamps are on
